Good, bad or ugly, there is no doubt that illegal immigration is a serious problem in America. We currently have between 15-20 million illegal aliens in our country, most of them of Latino decent, with the majority from Mexico. Statistics show that the cost in depressed wages, and providing of social services to illegal aliens and their children is well in excess of 300 Billion dollars a year to our nation. Those hardest hit by this influx of humanity is the American Middle Class whose wages have been stagnant since Bush was elected. Question is, what do we do about it?

I kind of disagree with immigrants being a problem. Some Immigrants come to the U.S. for freedom. Others come to work. Whille there are other reasons than this, these 2 are the main. Immigrants can't get many social security benifits without having a number. Don't worry, China's got jobs they're communist. We outsource to India =D! Immigration has always been key to what has made America great. I.E. the Statue of Liberty's plaque. Also please don't try to find facts to support your argument, but instead find an argument that suppourts your facts. So for the illegal immigration, i dont think its a problem. For the social security money, kids should get medical help. Yes, in their 7 or so long years of life they havent been working (so lazy they are!) and getting sick was probably their fault (diseases only affect the evil) but I still think that they should be given a fighting chance to survive. Adults who don't have social security go to the hospital. Also, illegal immigrants along with the ones too poor for medical insurance get put to the back of the line in the hospital until their malady becomes life threatining. <--- true go to your local hospital or go and find out your local hospitals procedures on this. We all know Ben Franklin's saying a stitch in time saves nine. Diseases and illnesses that would cost very little to cure spiral into life threatening conditions that can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. To save money we must lower the cost of medicare. How? Allow free trade of medicine with Canada, Europe and the rest of the world where drugs cost ten times less. Also, this hasn't been hurting the middle class. Immigration has not gone up drastically since Bush has been in office. Under the Clinton administration middle class gained 23% in their income. During the Bush administration they so far lost 6%. There have been multiple reasons for middle class stagnation including the trickle down theory, subsidies, tax incentives to outsource and tariffs. Just a few.
